Explores the major trends that are disrupting digital journalism, with a focus on innovation in its four main areas: editorial product, process, engagement and business model. The research is centered in describing, understanding and exploring the evolution of journalism production, platforms, reception and management. It will also conduct to the creation of digital journalism initiatives, especially in the field of arts and culture, that can contribute to the diversification and enrichment of the media and other creative industries ecosystem.

Our focus goes to narrative design, audience engagement and content performance, exploring the intersections of filmmaking and computer science. We produce engaging and focused story worlds, exploring 360 videography and sound design in virtual and gamified environments.

Studies and creates science communication initiatives, at national and international levels, in order to increase the engagement of society with research and innovation. Our research efforts are centered on the role of digital technologies in presenting scientific information more effectively and on the impact of social media in the public’s perceptions of science.
