António Granado started his career in journalism at Público in October 1989, where he worked until 2010 in various positions: science editor, executive editor, managing editor and online editor. Writing mainly about science and the environment, he was an early-convert to the Web and its charms.
From 2010 to 2014, he worked as the multimedia editor for RTP, the Portuguese public broadcast company, and he is currently an assistant professor at Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He holds a Master’s Degree in Science Journalism from Boston University, in the US, and a PhD in Communication Sciences from the University of Leeds, in the UK.
He loves to teach, he can discuss for hours about the best Posta Mirandesa (just Google it…) and he can tell a short-toed snake eagle from a European honey buzzard. He has four children and six grandchildren. For now.
